Nymph & Satyr
Another work inspired as a study piece, discovered on Pinterest (regrettably, no name attached to the work). My admiration for the Renaissance period led me to believe this piece originated from that time. In my rendition, I opted to alter the colour tones, focusing solely on this aspect, as the piece was intended as a study work. This approach allowed me to test my ability to capture the same visual essence while experimenting with a different palette. The transformation of colour not only offers a fresh perspective but also challenges my understanding of light, shadow, and form within the context of this historical aesthetic. Each stroke aimed to retain the sophistication and depth synonymous with Renaissance artistry, while simultaneously exploring the expressive qualities of colour that can evoke different emotions and interpretations.
